If you are here, you might be wondering how I was able to get a Mastodon verified checkmark for "google.com"!

Turns out it's a problem with Mastodon's link verification, where they allow CSS to hide parts of a URL. The link is actually:

<a href="https://google.aaronparecki.com" rel="me">https://google.<span class="invisible">aaronparecki.</span>com</a>

Hopefully they fix this soon!
